Meet Your Therapist

I can imagine that you are familiar with the quote, “Wearing your heart on your sleeve.” I believe we all have a variety of experiences and encounter normal emotions each day. I believe these emotions are consciously and subconsciously carried with us. So, in a sense, when we carry this with us, we are wearing them. My name is Kiersten Mitchell, and I am the owner of Wear Your True Wellness LLC. Currently, I am a Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH#19424) under supervision. I started gaining counseling experience in November 2019 and through that experience, Wear Your True Wellness LLC was born. Here at Wear Your True Wellness LLC, I aim to assist you in working to wear your true wellness in a positive way through counseling, mental health awareness, writing, and through personal style.

I believe that therapy is not a one size fits all approach and believe in providing a genuine space for each client where they feel heard. I also value breaking the barriers of mental health access and care for the African American community and communities of color. This passion grew stronger as an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology at Florida A&M University. Once I graduated as a FAMU Alumna, my experience encouraged me to pursue and complete my masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Counseling at Capella University.

Personal style and fashion is also a passion of mine. Through the years, I've researched many ways on how I could connect personal style development and mental health in a true authentic way. K.E. Vintage Kloset was birthed through my love for thrifting vintage and statement pieces. K.E. Vintage Kloset is where personal style and mental health unite and proceeds aim to make mental health resources and services more accessible.
